About Mental Health Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists support people to engage in activities that are meaningful to them, in order to improve their health and wellbeing. They aim to increase independence and participation in daily activities.

Mental Health Occupational Therapists look at how a person’s mental health condition may be impacting their day-to-day life, and work with them to identify their personal strengths in order to overcome these barriers.

Mental Health Occupational Therapists work from a recovery-oriented, collaborative framework, and use evidence-based tools in their practice.
